2010 Theme Speaker

Rev. Stefanie Etzbach-Dale, Unitarian Universalist Church of Verdugo Hills

Theme: "There But For The Grace Of..."

With so much pain in the world, how can we move from gratitude (and/or guilt) at our own good fortune - to generous engagement with justice making?  If you recognize the first step as "not looking away", please join us for this inspiring, healing, and empowering exploration of some of the harsher realities of our shared existence.

 Camp de Benneville Pines

The Camp and Conference Center (http://www.uucamp.org/) is owned and operated by the Pacific Southwest Unitarian Universalist District. It is located at 6,800 feet in the San Bernardino National Forest among towering ponderosa pines, oaks and cedars with a creek nearby, and Jenks Lake within walking and hiking distance. It has an Olympic sized heated swimming pool and hot tub. Fresh, nutritionally balanced meals are served with vegetarian meals on request. There are no buildings between Camp de Benneville Pines and Mt. San Gorgonio, the highest mountain in southern California, so this location is truly a nature gem!

 Accommodations

Rustic cabins and dorms are equipped with new bunks and mattresses. Bring your own sleeping bag or bedding. Cabin rooms sleep up to 4. Dorms sleep up to 6. Cabin end rooms have one double bed. All buildings have gas heat and bathrooms with showers. Craig’s Cabin has large double beds and a common area with kitchen.
