PSWIRL, an Adult Mountain Retreat
As in, "A SWIRL of Activities"
We meet every August for a week at Camp de Benneville Pines, located in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains near Angelus Oaks, California. Click here for the latest program and flyer. In addition, we have social planning meetings and potlucks "down the hill".
Mission Statement: We are an extended family, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and acceptance, dedicated to personal growth, developing a larger social consciousness, and welcoming diverse ideas.

The UU-oriented nonprofit Pacific SouthWest Institute of Religious Liberals welcomes you to their annual adult event at beautiful Camp de Benneville Pines in Angelus Oaks, California. Relax, swim, or take part in a wide variety of workshops and activities -- its up to you!
De Benneville is owned and operated by the
Unitarian Universalist Pacific Southwest District. It is at 6,800 feet altitude
in the San Bernardino National Forest among towering pines, oaks and cedars
with a creek nearby, and Jenks Lake within walking distance. There
are no buildings between Camp de Benneville Pines and Mt. San
Gorgonio, the
highest mountain in southern California (11,500 feet), so this location is
truly a nature gem!
Per person costs range from $335 to $440 depending on the type of accommodation you select, and includes all meals and workshops for the week. Ask about partial scholarships. The rich program includes a long list of workshops and their facilitators and each year there is a Theme Speaker.
Join us in our beautiful mountain camp as we welcome newcomers and greet old friends! Experience for yourself the varied offerings of PSWIRL week.
The 2008 PSWIRL Week will be from Sunday, August 17 through Friday, August 22.
Theme Speaker: Unitarian Universalist Minister Rev. Jim Grant
Theme:
The Struggle to Become Human
